The Atlantic Wall was: The Atlantic Wall was a series of defensive fortifications built by Nazi Germany along the western and northern coasts of the North Sea and Baltic Sea from occupied France to Norway. The defences extended from Scandinavia to the Netherlands and from the North Atlantic coast to the North Sea coast of Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany. The Atlantic Wall was constructed by almost 100,000 forced labourers, 90,000 German civilians and 15,000 foreign workers.
